EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION IN THE GIFTED EDUCATION IN TURKEY: THE NEEDS AND SWOT ANALYSIS

Science and Arts Centers are organizations to create environment, opportunities for identified gifted talented students develop talents, innovative products with scientific research knowledge. Educational management supervision practices present critical contributions the successful development positive outcomes of educational organizations. To explore current in Turkey, Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT) analysis, needs analysis were conducted. Responses a written survey open-ended items collected from 235 teachers, principals, assistant principals during 2018-2019 academic year. SWOT results following: Strengths: Technological skills managers, teachers; project-based education; Weaknesses: Lack outdoor activities; lack qualified managers; Opportunities: The center innovations; Threat: clarification criteria. most important as follows: Acquiring technological equipment, fairness accountability objectivity process. Recommendations made addressing key concerns results.
